Reviews
Great food and service. Love their hoagies and wings. The sweet and tangy wings are the best.
I am from out of town, so this my first time there so my review is based on one visit. I had the steak and cheese. It was very good and huge. The only minor thing wrong was the sandwich could have been hotter. The cheese was melted but it wasn't as hot as it should have been. I got fries, which were hot. Also, I thought it odd they don't have hot sauce there, not even the ol' standby Tabasco. Keep in mind, there is only on-street parking in that area which was fine.
Considering that Berwick is not exactly the cuisine capitol of the world, much should not be expected in terms of delicacies or specialities that set one place apart from any other. With that in mind, I have to say that the wings Romeo's has to offer are outstanding and worth coming back for again and again. Their variety of flavors cover most of the bases any wing lover's palette would enjoy. The size of the wings is also note-worthy. Most places I've gone to either have cheap wings that are pretty much skin and bones or expensive wings that have a decent amount of meat on them. Romeo's has pretty meaty wings for a very reasonable price. The rest of the food lays on the good side of average and everything is very reasonably priced across the board. Aside from the wings, I'd recommend their fish sandwich with some tartar sauce. The eat in experience is a bit of a tease as they sell singles and six packs of beer but they are for take out only and can not be consumed with your meal. Other than that, it's a bit small inside but quaint inside...good spot if you're working in the area and need to relax with a cheap meal for a minute. The staff are alright...nicer in person than on the phone. Not that they're bad on the phone, they are just a little short and not that personable.
I'm not a fish person, but a friend recommended the fish sub and it was outstanding. The wings are pretty darn good too.
